She's locked up with a spinning wheel
She can't recall what it was like to feel
She says, "This room's gonna be my grave
And there's no one who can save me,"
She sits down to her colored thread
She knows lovers waking up in their beds
She says, "How long can I live this way
Is there no one I can pay to let me go
'Cause I'm half sick of shadows
I wanna see the sky
Everyone else can watch as the sun goes down
So why can't I

In a small country that was still ruled by a royal family, the king's middle daughter was locked away in a castle to herself, never allowed to escape the dark halls. Her throne was the only thing that had any color, covered in flowers and a golden paint. He father ensured she had that chair to show that she was still royal blood and not to be messed with. No one in her family really wanted her to be isolated from the rest of the world, but her father couldn't bear to look at her. She was just like her mother, pale skin and ruddy curled hair. The queen however didn't get to see her look-alike daughter, she died shortly after child birth. The young princess was very sickly and needed a lot of attention from her older sister. The king was crushed and didn't want to see the baby, ordering her to be sent to the summer castle. Her and her older sister spent most of their years there, soon to be joined by their half sister.
But soon the eldest daughter was married to another royal house and left her younger sisters. The king called back his youngest daughter to his castle to have one daughter left. He regaired the middle daughter as dead and only sent her enough money to sustain herself and some servants. The lone princess spends her time weaving beautiful tapestries and looking out at the people beyond the castle walls. No one noticed as she slipped out one day to wander around the streets.

And it's raining
And the stars are falling from the sky
And the wind
And the wind I know it's cold
I've been waiting
For the day I will surely die
And it's here
And it's here for I've been told
That I'll die before I'm old
And the wind I know it's cold..."
